Consulting
The Visualization Group continually monitors relevant developments in software
and hardware for interactive graphics and visualization. Recent focus areas
include data visualization tools (OpenDX, VTK, VisAD), graphics programming
languages/standards for interactive graphics development (JAVA3D, VRML97,
OpenGL), VR development toolkits (VRJuggler, Diverse Toolkit, CAVElibs), and 3D
modeling (FormZ). Emerging initiatives
for the group include parallel graphics rendering and telecollaborative
technology deployment.
The results of our investigations are made available to the Penn State academic
community through individual staff consulting, project collaborations, seminars
